Abertillery Learning Community in Monmouthshire, Wales was formally a college site and became an all-through (3-16) school in 2016; looking to gain more outdoor shelter for the playground, they reached out for our advice and guidance. We designed two Motiva Linear Lite™ canopies with dimensions of 12000mm X 5000mm and 11100mm X 5000mm, and installed them adjacent to the school – effectively creating a playground shelter, a covered walkway, and an area that could be used as a covered seating area, all in one. The school were really impressed with the clean and simplistic design, which was achieved using a Semi-Gloss White on the steelwork, and an Opal polycarbonate roof.
