Requirement – Shade from the sun and shelter from the rain. Those were the two requirements from Marshbrook First School in Stafford. With all those precious children to take care of, they wanted to ensure that their playground offered the children protection from the elements whilst they were enjoying their break times and lunchtimes outdoors. A school canopy seemed the perfect solution, but with so many design options where should they start?
