Archbishop Holgate’s School in York Installs Two New Dining Canopies

What was the project brief?

Archbishop Holgate’s School were a returning customer and reached out to us when they were looking to increase their dining capacity. They had two locations in mind, at the front and the rear of the school, and were looking to find the best solution for each area. The school were also looking at installing heating, lighting, and sides on the canopy to make sure they were able to host students all year round.

What was our canopy solution?

We supplied the school with two different canopy designs, we installed a large Motiva Duo™ at the front of the school – which was enclosed with glass sides. Then at the rear of the school, we installed an even larger enclosed Motiva Linear™ canopy including both heating and lighting options – allowing the students to comfortably use the canopy all year round. Both canopies made use of a Slate Grey Duracoat™ on all steelwork, combined with our popular Opal roof – that amplifies light into the area. The finished canopies are both modern and built to last, so the school can take advantage of these Exceptional Covered Spaces™ for many years to come.

Archbishop Holgate’s School is a Church of England Academy that was founded in 1546, and their current  Headteacher, Marie Townsley, encourages the school to live by the phrase “Life to the fullest” from John 10:10.
