The academy required a colourful, safe, and weather-resistant canopy that could be used as a playground cover for young children. The space needed to be bright and visually stimulating, offering both shade and protection from the elements.
We installed a Motiva Linear™ canopy measuring 8000mm x 4000mm, designed to offer ample space for play and activities. The steelwork was finished with a durable Signal Green Duracoat™ to enhance both the canopy’s longevity and visual appeal. For the roof, we used a range of colourful polycarbonate panels in shades of Daffodil, Foxglove, Lagoon, Mandarin, Mint, Poppy, and Violet, creating a lively, rainbow effect. This design not only provides shelter but also adds a fun, eye catching feature to their playground.

Colourful outdoor play spaces have been shown to support the development of young children in many ways. Bright, stimulating environments encourage creativity, imagination, and exploration, all of which are essential for early childhood development. The addition of a canopy not only protects children from the sun and rain but also provides a comfortable area for them to enjoy outdoor activities throughout the year.
Outdoor play spaces also support physical health by encouraging children to move, run, and explore. In addition, these areas foster social interaction, helping young children build important social skills as they engage with their peers in an outdoor setting. Overall, the installation of a colourful, safe, and weatherproof canopy contributes to the overall wellbeing and development of the students.
