Monroe House is a contemporary office building based in Letchworth, they were looking to add a canopy to their balcony space so that staff members can make the most of the area.

What was the project brief?
A&S Landscape was excited to take on the challenge of designing and installing a custom canopy for Monroe House, a project aimed at enhancing the office environment by providing shelter for employees on the first floor. With a thorough assessment of the site and a clear understanding of the needs of the space, our team set out to create a canopy that would offer both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
To achieve this, we carefully selected our Motiva Linear Lite™ canopy, a lightweight yet durable alternative to our traditional steel canopies. The design, a bespoke L-shaped structure, was chosen to provide maximum coverage while complementing the architecture of Monroe House. This modern solution not only ensures optimal protection from the elements but also integrates seamlessly with the building’s aesthetic.
The canopy spans 10,000mm X 4,396mm, offering generous shelter for the employees below. One of the key features of the design is the integrated rainwater management system; this detail ensures that the canopy remains both functional and low-maintenance, even in adverse weather conditions.
