Umbra Grey - RAL NO. 7022
Opal
The option to enjoy some fresh air even when the weather is unkind is something that they can now offer with the new canopy at The Fox Primary School. A&S Landscape installed a smart Motiva Linear canopy to provide shelter and it adds a nice design feature to the building as well. The canopy looks smart in Umbra Grey (RAL 7022) steelwork with an Opal polycarbonate roof.
Our Motiva range of canopies can be configured to provide everything from small entrance canopies to covered walkways and even multi use games areas. In this instance, the canopy was the perfect option to provide shelter from the weather and a covered entrance in to the school.
From Shade Sails, Umbrellas and Tepees, to straight or curved roof steel canopies, A&S Landscape have a range which is sure to offer you something special. Feel free to look through our gallery, which has more than 1500 images to inspire you.
Why we should encourage children to play outdoors and how we can do so
Health is negatively impacted by not getting sufficient exercise, leading to increasing numbers of obesity in children and adolescents. Children are not playing outside as much as they did previously, restricting their exposure to sunlight and thus the formation of Vitamin D which helps to battle infection and keeps skin healthy. Sunlight also helps to regulate the development of melatonin which regulates sleep. Phones and tablets emit damaging blue light, which can cause headaches and eye strain. Blue light in the evenings can even restrict the formation of melatonin, which in turn can make going to sleep very tough for some children.
So what is the answer to this slippery slope that we find ourselves on… More time outside!
