What was the project brief?
The academy needed a robust shelter to cover their playground, ensuring that pupils could remain dry and comfortable during outdoor activities, regardless of the weather. The canopy also needed to blend seamlessly with the existing playground design, offering a modern, practical solution that would stand the test of time.
What was our school canopy solution?
After discussing the requirements with the academy, we installed a WeatherSpan® canopy, measuring 20,000mm x 5,700mm. The aluminium frame was finished in Anthracite Grey, providing a sleek and contemporary look that complemented the surroundings. The roof was made from Opal polycarbonate, allowing natural light to filter through while providing ample shade and UV protection.
This canopy was designed as an economic and durable solution to create a versatile outdoor space for students, whether it was for playtime, group activities, or as a sheltered area during breaks.
