The Bulmershe School add Outdoor Sheltered Seating Area

Outdoor shelters can add space where previously there was none. And that’s what we did with this outdoor canopy design in Wigan, Greater Manchester.

St. Peter’s Catholic High School had a large outdoor space between two mobile classrooms, the space existed but disappeared in the rain. Nobody wants to play and learn outside when it’s wet.
By adding a Motiva Duo, 14000mm x 8000mm in a slick Brown Red (RAL 3011) colour we’ve given them a new space, one that means their students can shelter from the rain and sun and means this area is no longer at the mercy of the Great British weather!
There are plenty of benefits of learning outdoors which help school children as well as teachers. A factor that is often discounted is the teacher’s satisfaction of teaching lessons and how the prospect to teach outside can be just as invigorating for them as it is for children. Being in an outdoor environment is healthy and creates positivity for teachers which is usually echoed in their lessons and the way they teach. If a teacher is uninspired, that shortfall of passion can carry over into their lessons but putting them in contact with nature can wholly adjust the way they see teaching.

“A&S Landscape did a really good job at our school. The service provided was excellent and the workmen were very professional and unobtrusive causing no disruption to our school day. The canopies themselves are finished to a high quality and look extremely smart. Our pupils love the canopies and use them at break and lunchtimes. They provide excellent shelter from the rain and shade from the sun.”
