The Telford Park School Installs New Steel Canopy

What was the project brief?

The Telford Park School were looking to upgrade their outdoor area and got in contact with us after being inspired by our Motiva Linear™ design. They wanted the shelter to be freestanding, and large enough to place their picnic benches under – as and when desired – which could then additionally accommodate some students for outdoor dining or learning. As this school is close to our A&S Landscape Headquarters, we were particularly keen to get involved!

What was our school canopy solution?

After the school had discussed their needs with our expert consultants, we decided on our Motiva Linear™ design, with dimensions of 28000mm X 4000mm. They made use of an Anthracite Grey Duracoat™ and Opal polycarbonate roof – this is a popular combination, as it achieves a simplistic and contemporary look. This particular structure benefits from a monopitch (asymmetric) roof; this clever feature is perfect for schools, as it prevents debris, balls, and other miscellaneous items from getting stuck on the roof. It is also a highly durable design, with a Duracoat™ on all of the steelwork, making the frame highly resistant to rust, abrasion, scratching, and colour fading.

The Telford Park School is a local school, who are committed to “Ensuring Excellence” in everything they do. Their Headteacher, Mrs. Holly Rigby, shares that it is her “privilege to lead The Telford Park School” who aim to “encourage and recognise pupils to let their light shine”.
