Ysgol Corn Hir in Llangefni, Anglesey wanted a group of outdoor shelters to keep its pupils comfortable and happy when spending time outside. They needed to do this by offering fantastic all-round protection from the unpredictable Welsh weather, with sturdy materials that could stand against wind and rain. The staff also thought that a simple, clean design for all the canopies would be best – to add to the atmosphere with identical models that didn’t detract from the rest of the grounds.
The school prioritises high standards in the work and behaviour of its learners to help them throughout their life, as well as providing them with a safe environment. They got in touch with us after considering how to continue their thoughtful ethos in their outdoor space, and we were thrilled to help them find the best way forward.
We spoke with our client about the different products that would meet their needs and they chose our Motiva Cantilever™ to become their outdoor shelters. This variant from our Motiva™ range is a great fit for academic institutions because it has many options concerning upright positioning and roof design to suit any customer’s aesthetics or buildings. We were happy to install five durable Motiva Cantilever™ models on-site with Slate Grey steelwork and Opal roofs – the matching designs brought the grounds together visually and the classic colours blended wonderfully into the grey brick exterior of the building. What’s more, they were ideal for creating covered areas in all sorts of weather so pupils could still get some fresh air during wet break times and lunchtimes.

Thanks to their robust construction of high-quality steel and polycarbonate, the children can safely play, eat and have fun with their classmates outside all year round. The idea of having the same design for all the models has had an amazing impact aesthetically on the site, while not being obtrusive to its friendly feel, and they are a great selling point to visitors and the families of new pupils. It was a pleasure to help our customer improve their outdoor environment.
