Awards for All Scotland

Awards for All Scotland is run by two organisations which distribute money raised by the National Lottery; the Bid Lottery Fund and Sport Scotland.

To receive funding, the recipient organisation must have an idea for a project which meets one of the following criteria:

  • Build strong communities
  • Improve opportunities for people by improving skills and choices
  • Improvement of local areas
  • Getting people more active and improving health

Eligible Organisations

  • Voluntary or community organisations (including registered charities or companies, or social enterprises).
  • Schools
  • Community councils
  • Statutory bodies

Suitable Projects

A range of activities may be funded upon application, including:

  • Running events or activities
  • Purchase of equipment or materials
  • Improving community buildings or play facilities
  • Volunteer expenses
  • Cost of transportation
  • Costs for staff

Application Process

There are two main steps to completing the application:

  1. Download the latest application form
  2. Complete the application form and send to the email or postal address provided on the form

When Awards for All Scotland assess your application, they will consider the following:

  • Project need based on evidence provided in the application
  • The difference the project will make in the community or to its people

Important Dates

There are no deadlines for sending completed forms, as applications can be made at any time. However, the application must be submitted at least four months before the project is planned to start.

Funding Range

Grants of between £500 and £10,000 are available.
